A nice cover (FDC) with a set of 2 stamps featuring striding and galloping horses. Taiwan post issued a set of 2 stamps and a souvenir sheet on 02 Dec 2013 to commemorate the Chinese New Year. The stamps were defaced with the first day postmark.
The horse is one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac calendar. The year 2014 is the Year of the Horse that interacts with the five elements wood, metal, fire, water and earth (2014 being the Year of the Wood Horse).
