A nice cover from Algeria
with three stamps highlighting the dates of Algeria. These stamps were issued
on 8Oct2013 and a complete set has four stamps showing Ghars, Deglet Nour, Delga
Beida and Akerbuch varieties of dates, however the sender used three stamps
which was enough postage for Pakistan.
A date is the fruit of a
date palm. The dates are sweet and
delicious, it can be eaten fresh or in a dried form, the dried dates can be
stored and consumed all year round. Dates contain numerous essential nutrients
which are beneficial for human health.

ALGERIA
The Horned Viper is a venomous snake native to North Africa and parts of Middle East. One of the distinctive characteristics of this snake is the pair of small horns on its triangular shaped head. It can reach upto 85cm in length, diet includes rodents and lizards.
